Exciting Nintendo 3DS games 2015

The Nintendo DS is still as popular as ever, and here is a list of some of the best titles that are being released in 2015. There are platformers and RPG’s and the graphics and gameplay of these 3Ds titles is being pushed to the limit.

The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask 3D

Majora’s Mask is a remake of the classic Zelda game from the N64. It does a few new features and upgrades, and has been redesigned for the 3DS. You play as Link, who has 3 days to save Termina from being crushed by the moon. The game picks up where Ocarina of Time left off, and even uses the Ocarina as part of the storyline to travel back in time during each of the 3 day cycles, and try to collect the strange masks so you can give Link powers to stop the moon decent and defeat Skull Kid, who is possessed by the Majora’s Mask. The graphics are great, and the character animations are just like the original. Many of the bosses have also been redesigned for the 3DS.


Code Name: S.T.E.A.M.

Code Name Steam is a wacky cartoon based take on turn based action games. It features a storyline that take place in a victorian land of steam, with flying air ships, and missions for the Queen of England. For each of your turns, you get the chance to play in a 3rd person perspective, and as you progress through the game and unlock achievements, you get to play as new characters. There is huge depth and storyline to this 3DS game, and with each turn your mission is to fight against the enemy aliens, and preserve your steam amount which is what gives you the capabilities of your weapons, and special moves. There is homages to historical period and recent pop culture, unique gameplay aspects, and even hidden characters to unlock. This is a great game that is more than you expect, and will keep you very entertained.


Mighty No. 9

Mighty No. 9 is a 2D action packed scroller that is built with 3D graphics. It’s a homage and nostalgic throwback to Megaman from the original designer of Mega Man, Keiji Inafune. The game was originally launched as a Kickstarter project in 2013, and met it’s funding goal within 2 days. In this 3DS title, your role is to make it through the platformer style levels, navigating the enemies, and collecting powerups to reach the main boss at the end of the level. In each level there are distinctive themed enemy characters that you have to destroy with your in arm battle gun, and when you destroy some of the enemies, you obtain Xel, which gives you special abilities such as climbing abilities, or tank transformations. The game is being released for several console platforms, but plays and looks excellent on 3DS. The game is set to be one of the most highly anticipated games of 2015, and will surely spawn a sequel to great demand.


Ironfall Invasion

This is a 3rd person action shooter game that features amazing graphics at a high action packed framerate of 60fps, pushing the boundaries of what is possible on the 3DS. There are straight off the bat some impressive features about Ironfall, in order of priority it has to be the exciting 6 player local and online multiplayer option. This gives the game great longevity, and serves as a great way to keep it feeling fresh. The game has a Gears of War feel to it, and that’s great, it has some of the best graphics and animation seen on the 3DS. There are a variety of weapons of offer, as well as grenades, and explosives, and an intuitive control and aiming system. There are even impressive features such as slow motion bullet time. This is an essential title for all 3DS owners.


LEGO Ninjago: Shadow of Ronin Trailer

Ninjago is a fun filled Lego romp through the land of Ninjago. It features a strong and genuinely comedic storyline with great cutscenes to keep you entertained. The game is mostly a platformer, with various levels being explored in different settings, such as Toxic Bogs, and the Ice Temple in a hunt to track down Ronin and destroy him. There is lots of variations in the game too though, such as vehicle and robotic driving. The game features some previous incarnation of features that proved popular in the Ninjago prequel such as Spinjitzu abilities to beat enemies and solve puzzles. This is a fun action adventure through the land of Lego, and although the game didn’t get much fanfare from the critics is a good play with a bit of variety.
